I was born in Kaposvár, Hungary. I received my masters degree in electrical engineering form Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in 2007.
In the last year of my masters I attended Delft University of Technology (TUDelft) with an Erasmus scholarship. During this time I wrote my master thesis at the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) in the topic: Knowledge Based Segmentation of MR Myocardial Perfusion Sequences. Subsequently, I started a PhD at the Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam with Prof Wiro Niessen and Prof Boudewijn Lelieveldt as promoters. The topic of my research was Anatomical Shape and Motion Reconstruction from Spare Image Data. I defended my thesis Nov. 2012. I have continued with my research as a post-doc at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, LUMC, and at the Departments of Radiology and Medical Informatics of the Erasmus MC.

Currently I am a post-doc researcher at the computer vision lab at TUDelft. My current topic focuses on cardiac image analysis with special focus on cardiac motion.

Topics of interest:
- medical image analysis
- statistical shape/motion/intensity modeling
- 2D/3D registration
- segmentation
- motion tracking
